Everyone's recruitment journey can look a little different. The flow chart below outlines the general process you can expect to follow should you reach the interview stage and beyond. We'll send you all the specific information you'll need before going through any of these steps.

Interview

Interview

Interviews are an opportunity for you tell us about the skills, knowledge and experience that you'll bring to AXA. In the interview, you should use the STARR format. The style of interview may change depending on the role, but we'll give you all the information you need before the interview.

Tasks & Presentation

In lots of cases, we'll ask you to do an additional assessment (e.g. presentation, role-play, online exercise), to show off the skills and knowledge that would help you to perform well in your role.

Psychometric Evaluations

Some roles require a psychometric evaluation. These test your behaviours and abilities to help us make sure you're well suited to the role, and to see if you're a good fit for AXA and and the way we work.

Feedback & Decision

Feedback & Decision

We'll get in touch with you as soon as possible with our decision and any feedback. This is also your opportunity to share your own feedback about the interview process. If you've been successful, we'll send you a job offer for you to review (yay!).

Screening Process

Being regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) means we need to do a background check on all new starters. We'll email you asking for your details so we can carry it out. Your job offer is conditional until your checks have been completed.

Accessibility Concierge

Our Accessibility Concierge was created to support and encourage candidates with disabilities or long-term conditions to apply for jobs with us. It's available to all internal and external candidates.

If you need adjustments for your application or interview, you can find the relevant contact email address on your job advert. One of our trained Accessibility Concierge Ambassadors will help to make any adjustments that you need for your application and/or interview.

AXA UK are recognised as a Disability Confident Leader. We actively encourage applications from people who face barriers in the workplace due to a disability or long-term health condition. We participate in the Disability Confident 'Offer of Interview' scheme. This means a fair and proportionate number of candidates with long-term health conditions or disabilities who meet the essential criteria of a job, will be offered an interview.

  • You'll need to show you meet the essential criteria as detailed in the job advert or job description.
  • You don't need to share the details of your long-term health condition or disability for your application to be considered under this scheme.

As part of your application, you'll be asked if you would like to 'opt in'. To ensure ease of access, every job advert lists a responsible Talent Acquisition contact, who'll be able to connect you with our Accessibility Concierge if you require any support.

We believe in hiring people who possess the appropriate skills and values that align with our vision. Our selection process is fair and equitable, ensuring that all candidates have an equal opportunity to join us. We are dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion, and we actively encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds. As an Equal Opportunities employer, we take pride in treating our employees and potential hires with respect and without discrimination based on any Protected Characteristics.

As a regulated financial services company, all successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks. Additionally, adherence to the Prudential Regulation Authority's (PRA) Insurance Conduct Standards and the Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) Conduct Rules will be required.

Yes. AXA, like all financial companies, is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This means must carry out background checks on all applicants who are offered a job at AXA. Pre-employment checks also give us the confidence that the people we hire are the right fit when it comes to protecting what matters to customers, colleagues, and our business. We screen against identity and address, qualifications, employment history, credit check, criminal record, and directorships. Please let us know if you think anything may affect these checks.
