Volunteering: AXA Hearts in Action

AXA Hearts in Action is our colleague volunteering, fundraising, and work inspiration programme. Everyone can get involved in making the world a better place.

Our colleagues get up to 21 hours to focus on activities that cover three primary themes:

Protecting nature and biodiversity:
From building insect hotels to painting bird hides and clearing up litter before it reaches our seas, we take pride in crafting, cleaning up, and making a positive impact.
Supporting our communities:
Whether it's making dog toys to help train a hearing assistance dog, litter picking in the park, or cycling from London to Paris to fundraise for a local cause, at AXA, everyone can make a difference.
Inspiring the next generation:
From being early adopters of AI in our industry to caring for our customers after events like fires or floods, we have a wealth of job opportunities to showcase to young people aged 13-16.
Fundraising

Fundraising

We run at least three mass-participation fundraisers across AXA UK offices each year. Colleagues are also encouraged to organise their own fundraisers and donation drives, either on-site or through individual and team challenges off-site, such as bike rides, marathons or bridge walks.

Climate Change & Sustainability

Climate Change & Sustainability

We're committed to limiting climate change and contributing to a healthier and more sustainable future for everyone. We do this by funding research, monitoring and supporting campaigns.

Charitable Giving

Charitable Giving

We have several charitable initiatives at AXA UK. For example, Pennies from Payroll enables you to round down your monthly salary to the nearest pound. The extra pennies go to AXA UK's chosen charity partners featured below.

Apprenticeships at AXA

We're always looking to attract talented people into our business as well as develop our existing colleagues' skills. One of the ways we do this is to give everyone the opportunity to study professional qualifications to progress their career.

Modern apprenticeships are a great way of gaining industry-recognised qualifications to support your development, whether you're taking the first step into a new role or you're ready to make your next move but need a further qualification. You can study an Apprenticeship at any age, regardless of how senior your current role might be, or what qualifications you may already have. You can even gain a master's degree through an apprenticeship.

"I didn't know it was possible to do an apprenticeship later in life and it was a surprise to me that I'd have a chance to do it alongside my role at AXA."

Chartered Manager Degree Apprentice

You can do an Apprenticeship in several different departments including Actuarial, Underwriting, Finance, HR, Customer Service, IT, Digital, Data, Marketing, Change, Claims, Leadership & Management. We offer opportunities within Private Health, Motor & Home and Business insurance lines, or our Support Functions that support our teams every day.

We have links with some of the best training providers in the country, so we can offer government-approved apprenticeships that help you achieve industry-recognised professional qualifications. They range from intermediate level 2 qualifications right through to bachelor's and master's degrees at levels 6 and 7. You'll study alongside your day-to-day role, earning a competitive salary while you learn.

The training you'll receive will differ depending on your apprenticeship. Study methods range from face-to-face workshops to digital learning. We're fully committed to supporting you through the programme, with time for study included as part of the apprenticeship.

You can do an apprenticeship at any age, regardless of your previous education. Studying for a professional qualification while working can be demanding. We're looking for you to show that you're passionate and committed to your own career development.
